I grew up with a camera and camcorder in my household as my Dad was the family photographer. He always had a camera at every event and he always got the candid snapshots, especially while people were eating. It wouldn’t be until years later that I realized this is where my love for photography originally started. When I first picked up photography in high school, it was just a hobby that I was exploring. I never knew how passionate I would become as I kept photographing objects around me and people in my life. College is where I really started to gain a deeper understanding of cameras and all of their capabilities through my undergraduate programs. This is when I decided to purchase my first camera, a Nikon D3500 and I began photographing my college experience. I was blessed to have friends around me who were heavily into fashion and music, so I had ample opportunities to continue practicing outside of classes.

Upon graduating in 2019, I began working and even though the job was outside of the media industry, I would gain worthy leadership and training experience. At the time, I wasn’t completely sure what I specifically wanted to do within media or how to take my photography to another level. I was still actively searching for jobs within the industry to narrow my scope and pinpoint exactly what I wanted to do with in my career. I continue to worked my corporate job, but the feeling that something was missing from my life kept nagging me. The creative part of my life was missing, but I chose to take photography more serious and I purchased my Sony a7iii. Since then, I’ve explored various styles of photography from fashion, editorial, street and event photography.

I am currently a MFA student who is learning to fine tune photography concepts, while improving my photographical and technical skills . While I continue to develop and evolve my aesthetic style, I’m appreciative of everyone who works with me along this journey.
